When you can travel, how many days you would like to book for fishing, how many
fishing people in your group, what primary target species you would like to fish
for.
If you have specific dates already please let us know that as well.
Many
of these game fish are migratory and some times of the year, in certain
locations, might be more productive. We understand that your personal schedule
might not coincide with the best time of year for certain fish but let us know
anyway so we can suggest the best options to consider.
Spring and summer in the southern Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands are the best time for Blue
Marlin but we have caught them every calendar month of the year. Yellow Fin Tuna
are more abundant in the Spring and early Fall. Giant Wahoo are more
prolific in the late Fall and early Winter, but like Blue Marlin, we have caught
Wahoo and Tuna every month of the year.
Blue Marlin are most
abundant in the Turks and Caicos Islands in June, July and August - there
are a lot of fish here during those months and if your schedule allows we would
recommend fishing the 5 days before and 5 days after the full moon for best results. There
is a Billfish tournament in the Turks and Caicos between June 8 and 14 - if you
would like to fish that tournament please contact us immediately.
One of the best features about fishing the Turks and Caicos is that the
prevailing winds come from the southeast and easterly direction. Providenciales
and West Caicos are in the western part of the Island group and are on the
leeward side so wind is not an issue. Some other locations in the Bahamas open to
the wind and can be a little tough to fish certain times of the year.
